Description
The DR80 is a programmable resistance for the bench. It stands in for a sensor or a load and steps through programmed sweeps, from the front panel or over the network.
It measures itself. The value shown is the value at its terminals, with its uncertainty, so the reading on the screen is what the device under test sees. Its own residual and the load across its terminals are made up for.
Above the current or voltage limit of a setting the output opens in hardware, with no firmware in the path. A trip keeps the output off until it is turned back on.
Everything the front panel does can be done over Ethernet. The DR80 is not a calibration standard for checking meters.

Typical Application
PT100 Stand-In on a Temperature Controller Input
Accuracy vs Setting
Figures are design targets until the first units are measured. Accuracy at 23 °C ±5 °C within 12 months of calibration.
